Who were the Titans?
Frequently called elder gods, they have been for many ages the supreme regents of the universe, with a huge size and being incredibly strong. The Titans (male) and Titaness  (female) are figures of Greek Mythology. According to Greek myth, the Titans formed one race of powerful gods who ruled during the Golden Age. According to Greek mythology, the Titans were sons of Uranus (deity who personified the sky) and Gaia (Earth goddess).
Names of the Titans
Coeus:  Titan of intelligence.Oceanus: Represented the river that surrounds the world.
Crius: Titan of herds, the cold and winter.Hyperion: Titan of Vision  and astral fire.Iapetus: Brother of Cronus, "punch" god-Titans of time and human life and mortality and is also associated with craftsmanship.Cronus: Was king of

History of this Titaness :
In Greek mythology, Mnemosyne or Mnemosyne (Greek Μνημοσύνη Mnemosyne, of mneme μνήμη, 'memory'), often confused with Mneme, was the personification of memory. This Titánide was the daughter of Gaia and Uranus, and the mother of the Muses by Zeus.

In Hesiod's Theogony, kings and poets received the power to speak authoritatively for possession of Mnemosyne and their special relationship with the Muses. Also note that Zeus joined Mnemosyne nine consecutive nights and so begat the nine Muses, who were born in a multiple birth.

Mnemosyne was also the name of a river in Hades, as opposed to Lete, according to a number of Greek funerary inscriptions of the fourth century. C. written in dactylic hexameter. The souls of the dead drank of Lethe so as not to remember their past lives when reincarnated. The initiates were encouraged to drink from the river Mnemosyne when they died, rather than the Lete. These inscriptions could be related to a secret mystery religion, or the poetry of Orfeo.1

Similarly, those who wished to consult the oracle of Trofonio in Boeotia were made to drink alternately from two sources called "Lethe" and "Mnemosyne". A similar procedure is described in the myth of Er at the end of Plato's Republic.
